Top Ten for 2012

Since it's near the end of the year, I figure I'd round up the music that's been doing it for me this year.  I've included albums and singles all in the same chart.  Not including my own productions.  No order - just as they come to mind.

1991 -1991 [Astro:Dynamics]
Raime - Quarter Turns Over a Living Line [Blackest Ever Black]
Samuel Kerridge - Auris Interna [Horizontal Ground]
Voices From The Lake - Voices From The Lake [Prologue]
bvdub - All Is Forgiven [n5MD]
DeepChord presents Echospace - Silent World (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [Echospace]
Fis - Duckdive [Horo]
36 - Lithea [3six Recordings]
Djrum - The Darkest Hour Is Before Dawn [2nd Drop]
Brian Eno - Lux [Warp]

Nice. Love VFTL, Raime, bvdub and Silent World OST. Fantastic choices, and the others you mentioned seem worth a looksie.

Just want to chime in and say that your triple-threat of albums were in steady rotation all year. Out of Sync is an absolute masterpiece IMO, and The Second Cycle along with Decayed Society will stand the test of time methinks. Hell, I still listen to The Light that Burns Twice as Bright on a regular basis! So, thanks for making life better in that regard!

Lastly, man, I just have to say that I'm surprised at the dearth of attention given to Tomorrow's World. In my mind, that album is a true one-of-a-kind, stunning experience. I'm just glad you brought it to my attention!

All in all, fantastic year sir. As always, thank you for being such a huge, important part of the year.

Thanks Matthew. The way I see it is, you can't push this sort of music on people, it either finds you, or those that know, know.

New Mindspan on Auxiliary next year, plus a double CD follow up to The Light That Burns Twice As Bright on Silent Season. It's already shaping up nicely.

Ohhhhh MAN! Nothing short of watching C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhowser Gate would get me as excited as a follow up to that perfect album.

Plus a new Mindspan album (YES!!!) and your usual melange of year-long brilliance. My end of 2012 just became even better due to my excitement for 2013. :)

Well, just to get you a bit more excited, the follow up is DEFINITELY better. I'm excited to release them both! There's also a new Sam KDC ambient LP to look fwd to on Auxiliary :)

Great list! That self titled LP by 1991 is outstanding and seriously needs to be put out on vinyl.

I'm hoping perhaps Boomkat Editions might pick it up like they did with High Tech High Life. MP3's and a cassette do not do it justice.

Awesome. I only have 2 of those albums. Thanks for the list. These end of the year "best of" lists are always a blessing to my ears but a curse on my wallet.
