oozing with substance. i sincerely appreciate the freedoms explored by AUX contributors. this is not at all what i was expecting, and that made it all the more substantial. that is to say, i suspected it would be a special treat because SS seem to strive against tracing others' steps. TW absolutely sets the imagination ablaze. it plays like a film soundtrack. seems like a soundtrack to a movie they wish would exist. I would also love to see that film upon laying ears on this. it is defnitely dripping with cinematic influence but slave to nothing that i've heard. it can't be easy to pull off something like this in a cohesive manner but it definitely works here.

for a brief sonic moment in time i found myself becoming the forgotten ancestor (a spectator spirit), watching a pale blue dot rise above some foreign horizon many thousands of years beyond the present

Excellent release. I wonder if you could entice T-Power back to producing music for auxiliary?...quite a lot of the label's output, this LP especially, reminds me of his outstanding work from the mid Nineties like "the self evident truth...", "police state", even "waveform". All the visionary stuff, before he decided to move off into other less experimental beats.

Might be a bridge too far these days, but I'm definitely a big fan of his earlier output. The synth work on the two Police State EP's, especially on 'Prospects For Democracy' and 'Synthesis' were ahead of their times. This is something different though, as I feel the only thing it has in common with dnb is the tempo.

Arguably some of the best music T-power released... i remember hearing it curtesy of good friend who conciously sort out alternatives to the main stream and having the realisation that the potential held in electronic music generally was ad infintium ...

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely original music and not a case of re-invention, but I think there feels like a common idea/inspiration, being expressed in other ways. When "Self-evident..." came out, it didn't feel like D&B either, at least not the template of the sound...it was both familiar and different. Perhaps that's the overlap. Either way, it's all just great electronica!
